THE INTERNATIONAL CHILDREN'S CONFERENCE ON THE ENVIRONMENT
26TH – 30TH AUGUST, 2006.

The 2006 International Children's Conference on the Environment was held in Putrajaya , Malaysia from 26 th – 30 th August, 2006. approximately 250 delegates (10-14 years old) and their Chaperons from around the world participated in this event, which enabled the children learn about the environment and share their opinions through plenary sessions, hand-on-workshops and field trips.

Through environmental contract with UNEP, the delegates pledged to take concrete action to protect the environment and to raise awareness about the environment and UNEP TUNZA programme. We are grateful to God who has made it possible for Jephthah to continually represent Nigeria at this conference. This year, 3 students and a staff namely:

1. Oghu, C. F. Chaperone
2. Oyatogun, Funmilayo Junior Board Member
3. Chukwuogo, Ifeoma Member
4. Nwachukwu, Adaeze Member

arrived Malaysia on 22 nd August, 2006 earlier than other delegates because Miss Oyatogun Funmilayo as a Junior Board Member was involved in the planning of the conference.

We specially appreciate our Chairman Board of Governors (Eng. C. E. B. Chukwuogo) and the Administrator (Pastor (Mrs.) Chukwuogo I. E.) for their continued support.

ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION CLUB EXCURSION TO JOHANNESBURG SOUTH AFRICA – 9 TH – 19 TH SEPTEMBER, 2006.

On 9 th September, 2006 eight students of the Environmental Conservation Club of JCSS namely:

traveled from Port Harcourt to Sam Mbakwe Cargo Airport Owerri where they boarded a Virgin Nigeria flight to Lagos in the company of Mrs. Ochojila, Treasure who acted as a Chaperone. By 11.00p.m the club members were on board a VK 303 Virgin Nigeria airbus and were air-borne to Johannesburg , South Africa . Memorable places of interest were visited. The trip was full of fun and experiences.

We are specially grateful to God, for our patron and Administrator (Pastor (Mrs.) Chukwuogo I. E.) for her love and care, spiritually, physically and financially in ensuring a successful excursion.
